Our 2017 Charities

Read all about the fantastic charities Rollinson Smith Insurance Brokers will be working with this year…

Every year, Rollinson Smith Insurance Brokers helps raise funds and awareness for a selection of charities, including local causes and national organisations. Over the years we’ve had the chance to be involved with some truly touching and special causes, such as supporting OPF’s release of 5 orangutans back into their natural habitat which you can read about here.

Here are the fantastic charities we will be working to support in 2017.

Cancer Research UK

Over the last 40 years, cancer survival rates have doubled. Funding scientists, doctors and nurses, as well as providing vital information to the public, Cancer Research UK are working towards seeing three-quarters of people survive the disease within the next 20 years.

In aid of Cancer Research UK, some courageous members of the Rollinson Smith Insurance Brokers team will be running the 5km Pretty Muddy at Weston Park on 6th May 2017. We are sure you’ll join us in wishing the best of luck to the staff taking part: Sarah Trott, Sarah Coates, Helen Mitchell-Gough, Helen Jordan, Jo Elliman, Jackie Whittingham, Jackie Harper and Michelle Dunn.

Macmillan

There are 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today. Supporting patients and their loved ones through some of the most difficult times, Macmillan provide practical, medical and financial support to improve their lives, making sure no one faces cancer alone.

Severn Hospice

Severn Hospice’s mission is to provide the best care and a better life for people living with an incurable illness, and for those important to them. They work towards a world where people are cared for at the end of their life as well as they were at its beginning.

Midlands Air Ambulance

Responsible for funding and operating an air ambulance service across six counties, Midlands Air Ambulance saves lives by saving time, dramatically increasing patients’ chances of survival if they reach hospital quickly. Since 1991, the charity has responded to more than 46,000 missions averaging 2,000 per year.

It is only with your help that we are able to support these charities, so keep an eye on our website to find out how you can get involved. Thank you.
